Signed, Sealed, Delivered

June 5, 2012

ImageThe 2012 National Association of Letter Carriers “Stamp Out Hunger” Food Drive is a wrap.  A grand total of 404,028 pounds of food was collected this year!  Glenn Norton, president of the local NALC, said, “Thanks to United Way for all of your help, and all of our great agencies and their volunteers!  You guys are the best and we could not do it without you.”

The food drive has become a collaborative effort in southern Nevada with the partnership of the letter carriers, Albertson’s, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, ValPak, 22 local pantries, and United Way of Southern Nevada.  The collaboration has been highlighted by Albertson’s parent organization and was replicated this year in southern California.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this annual event, which supports our community pantries and the individuals and families they serve!
