Random Acts of Kindness – Students Helping Haiti

March 4, 2010

Random Acts of Kindness week produced many great stories that we will be sharing through our social networking outlets.  Be a fan on Facebook, follow us on Twitter or follow our blog for different stories of how volunteers are helping make our community great!

Today’s story:

I teach fifth grade in a local public school.  Even though my students don’t have much, I encouraged them to try to donate $1 each to the earthquake victims in Haiti.  In a class of 22, my students raised $100, which I donated to the Red Cross for Haiti relief.  I myself wrote a $25 check to the Red Cross and am so proud of my students’ sympathy.
